A workshop titled “Mathematical methods and practice in cryptography, security and big data” will be held on December 19-21, 2016 at Hokkaido University to explore mathematical methods for information security.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this workshop is to promote\u00a0interdisciplinary collaboration between mathematicians and those researchers who work in the areas of data science and cybersecurity.<\/p>\n
This workshop is a joint project of Hokkaido University’s\u00a0three institutes – Department of Mathematics; Research Center of Mathematics for Social Creativity, RIES; Global Station for Big Data and Cybersecurity, GI-CoRE – and Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) of\u00a0National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).<\/p>\n
