Professor Matteo Convertino visited UTS under the Faculty Key Technology Partnership in Engineering and IT Visiting Fellow program.<\/p>\n
This program was signed in last September and he is the first person who got the grants in Graduate School of IST, Hokkaido University.<\/p>\n
He spent about 3 weeks at UTS for the\u00a0collaborative research from late January to middle February.<\/p>\n
“The objective of their research is to create the first autonomous, self-learning flock of drones that derive behavioural rules from the sensing of nature.”<\/p>\n
He said, “This program gave me the opportunity to make this collaboration more solid and to find other research collaborations; in the long term, such collaborations can strengthen topics and applications of mutual interest of the universities and countries involved.<\/p>\n
