GI-CoRE is pleased to announce that the Global Station for Indigenous Studies and Cultural Diversity (GSI) will host the 3rd Annual GSI International Symposium on Friday, December 1st, and Sunday, December 3rd.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Day 1: \u201cMigration and Memory of Place\u201d \u2013 December 1st<\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us on the first day as we delve into the themes of our symposium\u2019s initial session, \u201cMigration and Memory of Place.\u201d Esteemed speakers, scholars, and cultural custodians will explore the historical trajectories of diaspora and migration, delving into Indigenous perspectives on the connections between communities and their traditional lands. This session will be available online only.<\/p>\n

Day 2: \u201cIndigenous People and Museums\u201d \u2013 December 3rd<\/strong><\/p>\n

The second day focuses on the evolving dynamics between Indigenous Peoples and museums. This session will feature discussions on representation, cultural preservation, and the dynamic role museums play in fostering understanding and collaboration with Indigenous communities. This session will be available for both in-person and online attendance.<\/p>\n

Participation is open to all, and registration is required for both days.<\/p>\n
