Professor Matteo Convertino visited UTS under KTP Program

Professor Matteo Convertino visited UTS under the Faculty Key Technology Partnership in Engineering and IT Visiting Fellow program.

This program was signed in last September and he is the first person who got the grants in Graduate School of IST, Hokkaido University.

He spent about 3 weeks at UTS for the collaborative research from late January to middle February.

“The objective of their research is to create the first autonomous, self-learning flock of drones that derive behavioural rules from the sensing of nature.”

He said, “This program gave me the opportunity to make this collaboration more solid and to find other research collaborations; in the long term, such collaborations can strengthen topics and applications of mutual interest of the universities and countries involved.
