In July 2022, the long-awaited visit of GSI overseas unit members finally took place. Professor Joe Watkins and Professor Tianxin Zhang met Professor Hirofumi Kato, Director of GSI and Professor Takayoshi Yamamura, Leader of Indigenous Heritage Research Unit in Sapporo.
