Global Station for Soft Matter held an international mini-Symposium “Soft Matter Deformation and Function” on July 17th, 2019 at the Creative Research Institution, Hokkaido University.
The symposium gathered 52 attendees including invited speakers from overseas institutions: Prof. Chung-Yuen Hui from Cornel University, Prof. Wei Hong from Iowa State University and Sothern University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Alfred Crosby from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Based on the symposium theme, the attendees exchanged opinions and had active discussion together with the students of newly established Division of Soft Matter.
