GI-CoRE Cooperating Hub【SMCR】Kick-off Symposium on June 9, 2023

GI-CoRE Cooperating Hub/ Soft Matter Collaborative Research Unit (SMCR), Faculty of Advanced Life Science will hold the Kick-off Symposium for KAKENHI International Leading Research “Design of Low Entropy Polymer Network Materials for Unique Functions” as below:

【Date and time】June 9 (Fri.), 2023 Morning session: 9:30 AM – 11:10 AM Evening session: 4:30 PM – 6:20 PM (Japan time, UTC+9)

【Style】Hybrid conference (both on-site and online)

【On site venue】Shionogi Innovation Center Community Hall 1F (Kita 21 Nishi 11, Kita-ku, Sapporo)

【Content】JSPS international leading research project “Design of Low Entropy Polymer Network Materials for Unique Functions” has been launched. This project focuses on low entropy polymer networks (LeNet) that realize unique mechanical properties and functions derived from their structures. LeNet is a collaborative project between Japan, U.S., and EU teams. Young researchers involved in this project will stay abroad for a long period and engage in world-class research under the supervision of both the Japan and overseas teams (we are looking for highly motivated researchers!). In this kick-off symposium, LeNet members will introduce what LeNet is and what makes it interesting mechanically and functionally from various facets in terms of synthesis, analysis, and function.

【Co-organizer】Institute for Chemical Reaction Design and Discovery (ICReDD)

【Registration】Admission fee: free/ Advanced registration: required/ Please register using the google form regardless of your participation method. After registration, you will receive a Zoom link for online participation.

Presentation titles and time schedule will be posted on the LeNet website later.
