日本学術振興会（JSPS）科学研究費助成事業 (Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research)国際共同研究加速基金（国際先導研究）に、GI-CoRE協力拠点である 先端生命科学研究院附属次世代物質生命科学研究センター ソフトマター国際連携ユニット（前身はソフトマターGS）の グン 剣萍（チェンピン）教授の研究課題「低エントロピー高分子網目材料の設計と機能創出（Design of Low Entropy Polymer Network Materials for Unique Functions）」が採択されました。
グン教授については、アメリカ物理学会（American Physical Society：APS）より、2023年高分子物理学賞（2023 Polymer Physics Prize）が授与されることも決定しています。この賞はグン教授の優れた業績である“outstanding contributions to the understanding of mechanical and fracture properties of hydrogels based on novel network architectures and discovering the concept of double network gels based on internal overstressed sacrificial bonds”に対し与えられるものです。
