国際連携研究教育局（GI-CoRE）量子医理工学グローバルステーション（GSQ）とビッグデータ・サイバーセキュリティグローバルステーション（GSB）では，本学遺伝子病制御研究所（IGM）との合同シンポジウムを開催致します。
GSQでは2014年以降毎年，GSBでも昨年2016年から国際シンポジウムを開催してきましたが，今回のシンポジウムでは“量子，情報科学，生物学と医学”という幅広いテーマを扱います。GSQ, GSB, IGMの他，医学研究院，情報科学研究科，工学研究院，北海道大学病院の協力を得て開催される本シンポジウムは，北海道大学における“量子医学”研究を進めるきっかけとなるでしょう。本学の研究者に加えて，米国スタンフォード大学，豪州シドニー工科大学，大阪大学，量子科学技術研究開発機構（QST）から世界的な研究者をお招きしています。
本シンポジウムは，今年4月に開設された医理工学院の講義としても開講されます。

Global Stations for Quantum Medical Science and Engineering (GSQ) and Big Data and Cybersecurity (GSB) at Global Institution for Collaborative Research and Education (GI-CoRE) will hold a joint symposium together with the Institute for Genetic Medicine (IGM), Hokkaido University.
Since 2014, GSQ has organised an annual international symposium, but this time, will have a symposium covering a wide-rage of topic as ‘quantum, informatics, biology and medicine’. In cooperation with Faculties of Medicine and Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido University Hospital, it will welcome distinguished guest speakers from Stanford University, the University of Technology Sydney, Osaka University and the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology (QST). The symposium aims to mark the beginning of interdisciplinary “quantum medicine” studies at Hokkaido University.
This symposium will be arranged as lectures of newly-established Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering.
